The Association of Airports of Ukraine for Civil Aviation (AAUCA) is the sectoral body that brings together the country’s airports. Founded in 1992 and based in Kyiv, it represents airport operators and works on the development, cooperation, and recovery of Ukrainian civil aviation.
AAUCA is led by its president, Petro Lypovenko.
What AAUCA does
AAUCA is a public organization created to advance the development of airports, introduce the latest technologies, and improve cooperation among everyone involved in airport operations. The association sums up its history as thirty years with airports and for airports.
It organizes conferences, seminars, symposiums, and exhibitions for the exchange of best practice in airport management and operations, and it represents and protects its members before state authorities and other organizations. It is the one body that brings together everyone interested in the development of air transport in Ukraine.
Its participants span airports and their owners, airlines, ground-handling companies, tour operators, and commercial enterprises, who connect at every level from executives to front-line operators. The association works through a board, management, an audit committee, and sector committees.
Our cooperation
Aviaedge is a participant and media partner of AAUCA. We bring independent reporting and media analysis to the association’s work, covering airport strategy, capacity, and the people shaping the sector.
Aviaedge’s chair, Viktoriia Hrechukha, was nominated to AAUCA’s Committee for Strategic Development of Airports.
The cooperation focuses on:
- how regional airports work with carriers and suppliers
- exchanging experience with European airports
- preparing to restore full civil aviation activity in Ukraine
